mood:

omg. today the flyer is testing one of my most basic & sensitive instincts...HUNGER!!!
we sorta operate @ the most minimal capacity(i.e: min no. of positions required @ each section/level) so pple can only go on break 1.at.a.time...
wad a drag.

was complaining with chai kee since 11am till 1+pm i could no longer feel i was hungry..
i guess the coldness engulfed all the pangs in me.
hunger was bearable, but coldness wasn't.

ate @ 2.15pm finally with Raj.
had to go to the VIP lounge instead to collect our meal (cos the catering MEGU put them there after lunch hr).

OMG. i was damn amazed @ the VIP lounge hahas.
fell in love with it.
can't really see it frm outside; sort of use tinted glass but the inside was comfy yet elegant bar settings.
it was the outdoOrs that got me swoOning...it's sO sunshine!lOlx..overloOking the sea with cushioned chairs & 'rattan' umbrellas as shade..

we had the cheek to ask if we could eat there instead of the staff lounge lOlx.

Had been admiring at how pretty the flyer looks today frm my position~

Weather today was ulber fine with a clear blue sky & some cottony white clouds + being a quiet day..it suits the serenity & tranquility kind of moOd.
it was as if someone painted the backdrop for the flyer. very pose worthy~

i want my pay. soon.

so tt i can spend & buy & eat without guilt.

oh oh and the $$ in my ez link seems 2 b shrinking really fast again.
sigh.

i've got shoes to clean.my handphone pouch to wash & scrub (tea stain) & bag to pack. zZz...

i really need 2 watch the way i eat nowadays. it's getting reckless& worrying.
just today alone,during tea we celebrated tammy's birthday and i ate:
- samosa
- lasagne
- eclair & mini creampuff
- fruit punch
- 2 mini drumsticks
- choc cake

and then there's dinner @ 5.20 dots.
and there's evening tea @ 8.45pm (1 garlic bread + 1 coke light..thank god i was sensible enuff 2 do coke light. i almost wanted tea/some sweet drink).

and altho i'm feeling quiteempty now, i jus drank water BECAUSE i am terrifying myself out wif such an unstable & not nutritious diet.

argh.someone pls shake me.i can't live my life this way.

doing level 2 turnstile today was quite fun.
stupid frankie went 2 do baggage roOm (apart frm his ugly hair, i kinda miss him).
gave him the other hot & rock like garlic bread (cos it turned out to be 2 for $1.30..screw it i shldn't have ate anything @ 8+. i feel guilty now.)

talked to iris on the way home..
seriously i dunno wad i want at this point in this stage of my life either.
sometimes i have forgotten i'm still a student & i like sociology.
i immense myself so much into my work life i feel half of me revolves arnd that...

work is fun.gaining experience & working wif nice pple are fun. before this, i never had known i'll b able 2 smile naturally @ strangers & help them in my best ability.

i mean i'm nt the smiley type & i dun open up easily but now i feel, i can say anything easily. but i still dun smile as much as when i'm @ work tho lOlx.

wad happens once work life is gone & i'm a full time student? will i change again? will i stay the same?
i'm so moulded into many forms. it's kinda true when pple say we won't noe exactly wad we're looking for. we will always change.

when will i be stable again? how i noe right now this is the real me?

my life is getting so fast now that i hadn't got time to think abt it/ stop to rest. it's like ur body is moving ahead of ur legs & 1 day, u may just trip & fall.

and now tt i have stopped to ponder, i dunno if i wanna walk slower & continue running @ tt same pace. becos it's a good feeling running this way.

Guess out of this week, today's most free for me cOs i din have 2 work @ deck (it's still one of my favs tho) & there were hardly any difficult situation except for 1 & frankie was pure mad for like 2 secs o.O. he almost wanted 2 tear the cocktail glasses paper into half lOlx!

but most of the time, we were busy toking among ourselves & for like quite a few times today i was luffing so hard & serving patrons @ the same time.

like putting baskets on frankie's head(& for 1/3 of time he was making weird noises and gestures hahas) & the 3 of us luffing abt the names we give ourselves. omg. it was seriously havoc. till our tummy hurts & i almost died frm low energy (i had 2 eat lunch @ 11am this time. + 1 mashed potato frm popeyes).

kinda like morn shifts more but lower chances of getting thirul as sup. oh wells~ i was lucky this week!

Vivo city is seriously a nice place to chill...sat there @ Pacific for 2 hrs..legs were cramping lolx.





Zhajiangmian is surprisingly to my liking! lOlx..i'm pretty fussy abt that but thank god it was good $$ spent.
However, i still like my chinatown zjm...delicious!!!

Ratings: 7/10 haven tried their fried rice tho. xiaolongbao was oOkie only.

ohoh finally went out..

i kinda prefer Waraku itself (maybe shawn's right abt central's waraku pasta nt as appealing).
arghXx kitty & jeslin didn't join us this time.

okie i seriously sound like some alcoholic..but no!

had 3 drinks this time (thanks to happy hr & miss qinqi who cannot stop drinking).
yes yes they were wowed by the place of course (my 2 frens had the same initial rxn as my GLC pals)
but then cos it's a saturday, manager shoO us away frm the comfy seats during our last 15 mins (it's actually reserved) hmpfs. minus away some marks!

realised we've all really grown different but still able to talk abt stuff just like the goOd old days..love catching up!!

yayers! today worked wif jw, yonghan (who ran off after half hr as always) & farhan the idiot poke~

yummy dishes! we dined @ waraku which gave a really scenic view of Clarke Quay. not exactly alfresco but omg wad a perfect view & yummilicious pics!

was wowing @ this Helipad Soundbar coOl name.
but took a damn half hr to find tt stupid place...& in the end the trip ain'ts wasted; nice furry plush lounge seats, great ambience & there's a rooftop open deck even! OMG.

i went to PC show @ last.
OKIE suntec is total madness...there's human jams everywhere & the floOrs of the convention halls were filled with flyers & brochures & plastic bottles omg.

But u see everyone coming out of the fair with either a paper bag/ trolley lOlx. i tot it was really weird + funny when u're dressed nicely and then seen dragging a garang guni trolley hahas.

bought my earphones at last!
din get to take part in the GSS (couldn't find anything suitable & i had my mum nagging @ me oso)
ate free ice cream frm starhub tho.was very reluctant at first cos it was green in colour (well wad to do starhub's green) but it was honeydew flavoured! oOowheeEe...

went to eat at House of Peranakan.
sorta my 1st time trying real peranakan dishes & it was not bad.

hasn't been a good work week..
Did baggage room ytd..it was alright actually (does not hate it but will not prefer it)..
i guess i was in my pessimistic mood & i looked @ things terribly tt i ended up feeling terrible.

everything was going downhill for me..
but perhaps it was never like this. perhaps everything had always been the same but i'm the one rolling down..
of course pple around me affects me (which is why i'm not going 2 let this happen again)
cos when they're upset, you feel upset..
and when they're happier, u're still stuck @ the upset part. doesn't help @ all.

was scolded by one of the best supervisors ever.
it wasn't the matter that harmed me (okie perhaps a lil cos it was severe) but more like the tone & the fact a calm person can actually lose his cool makes me feel really despondent.
and i was upset cos i let pple who are good to me down & myself as well..

it's my own expectations & judgement of myself tt make me feel unhappy.

anyways i'm supposed 2 update on Shawn's bday surprise!

mhmm...finally we ended up @ esplanade rooftop.
i was tinking of seaview & blahx but thanks to the stupid cranes & construction, the ideal venue was flawed.
But it was a great venue too cos the skyscrapers lit up the night sky & i could see the flyer changing colours very clearly lol.

and like Shawn described it was like some Taiwan drama lOlx..
if we had the original idea of balloOns floating up in the sky when he removes his blindfold, i think he'll really cry manx..
wahHHH i'll love to have tt kind of surprise *it's nt some hint*

got a lecture the minute i reported work...not tt i'm pissed @ her or anything cos she's rather right but i'm unhappy she mentioned it today when for the past week & ytd she hadn't said anything.

and all her comments during debrief were rather harsh and biased.

soO it was quite a bore working because we had to stay at our places & we can't really mingle arnd..
and anyways there's hardly anyone for me to mingle wif anyway. Dunno why the usual morning pple suddenly disappeared except for Clarence.

I guess i didn't have mood to greet customers as well until when Alfian came over and started saying & doing silly things was I able to greet customers the way I always did~

and there were many problems..many pple had to leave & stuff like tt.
everything was suddenly in a mess & when it does, everyone is putting pressure on everyone.
suddenly there's this tense & oppressive atmosphere which i totally didn't feel it for the 1st week i was there~

politics go everywhere no matter where you work.
kinda hard to avoid it. bahHHh.

i shall blog abt shawn's surprise celebration the next tym with some of the vids!

Singapore's night view is really pretty with the overlapping expressways and all..reminds me of the bridges I saw at Macau..they're so classy~

did queue management today.
greeted so much until my throat went dry & I kept having to drink water (& visiting the toilet so many times).
fortunately, no one was complaining when we jus shuffled them into different lines.

did not get to see my usual bunch..
and had to recognize & get to noe like 4 new faces.
when everyone's working different shifts on different days, guess it's nt easy to bond tgt/ get to know others better.

today's one of my longest days..
probably cos there's not much customers & we have to learn the new things..
finally went to the deck where we open & close doors for pple..
sounds easy but there's many procedures to take note~
at 1st i was quite startled there's just a net after the platform & if u fall, u'll end up on the net above the fake rainforest..
but after the routines i kinda overlook all these.

working @ the deck was pretty tough when there's hardly anyone experienced to guide us through..
Highlight of the day was sunglass flew out of nowhere and went thru the net..and an old lady went weak in the knees & collapsed on the floor after entering the capsule.
i sort of panicked (i.e: i just stood there as her 2 family members helped her up)..partly cos i had no idea how exactly i can help & 2nd i was afraid to be more of a hindrance.
bahHHh..it was an apologetic & bad experience for me.

and after tt all the elderly & those with difficulties, we were more than aware to keep asking the control room to slow down.

@ the debrief, Serene was really frank (she pointed out to all the sups that no one was there to educate us but only to reprimmand us when we made a mistake)..i guess some weren't really happy with her comment.

then we had some complaint aka bitching session after work lOlx..
I am glad to noe our HC is well bonded and willing to go out & help one another...cos for a noOb like me, i'll seriously crumble if i dun hav assurance & support frm my fellow mates~

but i like chatting with some visitors, esp. the ang mohs becos dey're inviting & tend to take things less seriously..
talked to an old grandma & had this ang moh guy wanting to take a picture of me & jw.
I'm happy when they are happy because of the smiles & hospitality they received.

woOhoOs! back from macau.
it was surprisingly an enjoyable trip somemore..
could sleep really well for the past few nights (tt's how tired out i was~)

i had no idea casinos were part of the attractions.
seriously the neon lights were breathtaking..u carn help go wow-ing as each casino tries to outdo the other (Westerners v.s. Stanley Ho)..

In total, Stanley Ho owned 19/22 casinos in Macau..
the other 3 owned by the Westerners were namely the Wynn, Venetian Macau & Sands (all are famous & extravagant).
Wynn was really classy (see videos) & goes to great means to impress the visitors..Venetian was the size of 26+ football fields; in fact it was one of the places I wanted 2 visit (or stay even)~

There were other famous casinos like Grand Lisboa, the 1st in Macau & MGM which was partly owned by Stanley Ho's daughter. I think it was the most gorgeous building in broad day light lOlx (the others will only shine when it's night).

And each building has in own story (about its architecture).
Extremely interesting with the fengshui & all~

Macau's also a cheap place for buying foodstuffs & eating
but definitely not shOpping. i agree Singapore has better deals, esp when it comes to GSS.
partly cos it's a gambling paradise so all the resources are channeled into beautifying the casinos instead.
i bet it's like the 1st country where casino= hotel & hotel= casino.
One will not exist without the other lOlx.

Didn't stay in any of those famous ones but Casa Real was rather close to alot of amenities like some tourist attractions & the ferry terminal which we visited quite often not to cross over to H.K but to take free shuttle buses to the respective hotels.
Hotel/ casino hopping is the norm in Macau instead of shopping centres & looking for bargains.
I have nv been tt interested into peeking @ hotels hehe.

Heard that those owners who build Wynn & Venetian are in charge of Singapore's Marina Sands..i hope it will turn out damn good~

Level 3 would be rather boring if Ronald hadn't change places wif me soO I can be with Hannah & Farhan..tt's when we went crazy lOlx.

and she sprouted nonsense (apparently she had no idea what she was trying to say either lOlx).
